Visiting

We are always delighted to welcome visitors to Domaine Chater. We open every day of the week for free tours and tastings of a range of our award winning wines. Opening hours;

Mon-Fri: 10:00-18:00

Sat-Sun: 11:00-17:00

Appointments aren't required but to be sure that we are around when you visit you can get in touch with us via post, telephone or email. An interactive map and directions are set out below, if travelling from wider afield click on the map of France to the right.

Directions from Duras

We are about ten minutes, by car, from Duras. Follow the main road out of Duras towards Sainte Foy. Pass the gendarmerie on the right. Turn right shortly afterwards into the road that is signed St Jean de Duras (the turn is directly opposite the Terres du Sud store). Follow this road (for approximately two miles) and at the first crossroads make a left-hand turn. You should immediately pass a water tower on your left hand side. Take the first right hand turn and Domaine Chater is the third property on the right.

Getting Here

Rail services from Paris run to Bordeaux and Liborne from where a local train service runs to the nearby town of St Foy la Grande. Bergerac is the closest airport with flights from Birmingham, Stansted, Exeter, Southampton, Liverpool and Manchester. Flights into Bordeaux airport are readily available from airports across the UK.
